Willie John McCorry was born in 1920. He joined the republican movement as a young man and remained active in republican associations throughout his life. He recalls being interned in the Curragh during the Second World War. He speaks about the Gaffney’s football club. He describes the disputes within the republican movement in the sixties. He comments on the internment of 1971 when he was among the first to be lifted. Willie John was a founding member of National Graves Association in Belfast in the 1960s and speaks about the work of the association including the achievement of Tom Williams’ burial in Milltown. Willie John died in 2005.
