Marie Moore was born in the Clonard area of West Belfast in 1938. In this interview she remembers being in her grandmother’s house on the day that Tom Williams was shot and arrested there. She recalls becoming involved in the Civil Rights movement. She gives a detailed account of pogroms in August 1969. Marie talks about her election as a Sinn Fein Councillor and being the first Sinn Fein deputy mayor. Marie Moore died in 2009.
